These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of navratnajewellery.com (the “Website”) and any purchase you make from TN Navratna Thangamaligai LLP, trading as Navratna Jewellery (“we”, “us”, “our”).
By browsing the Website, placing an order or making an enquiry, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.
1. Definitions
- “Product” means any jewellery item or article offered by us.
- “Order” means your request to purchase a Product.
- “You” means the person browsing the Website or placing an Order.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872. By placing an Order you confirm that the information you provide is true, accurate and complete.
3. Products, images and descriptions
We take care to describe our jewellery accurately. However:
- Photographs are for illustration. Colour, lustre and finish may appear different on your screen because of photography, lighting and display settings.
- Items are frequently photographed enlarged to show detail. Please rely on the stated weight and dimensions rather than the image.
- Handcrafted jewellery carries slight variation. A minor difference in weight, finish or stone placement is a characteristic of handmade work, not a defect.
- Weight tolerance: the final weight of an item may vary slightly from the weight displayed. The final invoice is prepared on the actual weight at the time of billing.
4. Pricing, gold rate and making charges
- Prices of gold, silver, platinum and precious stones fluctuate daily with market rates. Prices shown on the Website are indicative and are confirmed only at the time your Order is accepted and billed.
- The final price is normally made up of metal value (rate × net weight), making charges, wastage where applicable, stone value and applicable taxes (including GST).
- We reserve the right to correct pricing errors. If a Product’s correct price is higher than the price shown, we will contact you before proceeding and you may confirm or cancel the Order.
- Prices for our India and UAE locations may differ due to local rates, duties and taxes.
5. Orders and acceptance
Your Order is an offer to purchase. A contract is formed only when we confirm the Order in writing (by email, message or invoice). We may decline or cancel an Order — with a full refund of any amount paid — where:
- the item is unavailable or out of stock;
- there has been a pricing or description error;
- we are unable to verify your identity or delivery address; or
- we suspect fraud or a breach of these Terms.
6. Custom and made-to-order jewellery
For bespoke, engraved, resized or made-to-order pieces, an advance may be payable and the design is confirmed before work begins. Because these items are made specifically for you, advance amounts on custom orders are non-refundable once production has started, and such items are not eligible for return except where the item is defective.
7. Payment
- Accepted payment methods are those displayed at the time of billing.
- Where online payment is offered, payment is processed by a third-party payment provider. We do not receive or store your full card, UPI or banking credentials.
- Goods remain our property until payment has been received in full.
8. Hallmarking and certification
Gold jewellery sold by us is hallmarked in accordance with applicable BIS requirements, and applicable certification is provided with the item where relevant. Please retain your invoice and certificate — they are required for exchange, buy-back and warranty service.
9. Delivery
- Delivery timelines given at the time of Order are estimates and are not guaranteed.
- Risk in the Product passes to you on delivery to the address you provide, or on collection from our showroom.
- Please inspect the package on arrival. If the packaging or tamper seal is damaged, do not accept the delivery and inform us immediately.
- You are responsible for providing a correct, complete address. We are not liable for delays or loss caused by an incorrect address or by your unavailability to receive the item.
10. Returns, exchange and refunds
Please contact us at reachus@navratnajewellery.com before returning any item. Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
- Returns must be requested within the period stated at the time of purchase, with the original invoice, certificate, tags and packaging intact.
- Items must be unused and unaltered. Items that have been worn, resized, engraved, damaged or altered elsewhere cannot be returned.
- Custom, engraved and made-to-order items are non-returnable except where defective.
- Approved refunds are made to the original payment method. Making charges, wastage, certification and shipping costs may be non-refundable, and buy-back or exchange of metal is calculated at the prevailing rate on the date of the transaction.
11. Cancellation
You may request cancellation before an Order is dispatched, and we will confirm whether cancellation is possible. Custom orders in production may not be cancellable — see clause 6.
12. Care of your jewellery
Jewellery is delicate. Damage caused by misuse, accident, exposure to chemicals or perfumes, improper storage, or servicing by a third party is not covered by any warranty or exchange offered by us.
13. Intellectual property
All content on this Website — including designs, photographs, text, logos and the “Navratna” name — is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by law. You may not copy, reproduce, republish or use it commercially without our prior written permission.
14. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Website unlawfully, not to attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, and not to introduce malicious code or interfere with its operation.
15. Third-party links
The Website may link to third-party sites such as social media. We do not control and are not responsible for their content or practices.
16. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or in connection with an Order shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Product concerned. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit or opportunity. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for fraud.
17. Force majeure
We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, strikes, restrictions on the movement of goods, failure of transport or communication networks, or acts of government.
18. Privacy
Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
19. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any right you have under consumer protection law, the courts at Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. Purchases made at our UAE location are subject to applicable local law.
20. Changes to these Terms
We may amend these Terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time of your Order is the version that applies to that Order.
